A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on October 08, 2003 at the Genoa Town Hall 1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa, New York 13071.

The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.

Water Committee Report.

The brochures and postcards and coming back in.

Variance Committee Meeting:

Letter enclosed from John Fessenden Chairman of the variance committee. Louis Morse needs the Town Board of Genoa to recognize a mobile home park.

Resolution to have hearing on Preliminary Budget for 2004 on October 08, 2003 at 7:30 at Town Hall.

Programs and Grants

Town Board has not received a bill for the fuel used for the 2003 summer program.

Code Enforcement

Permits issued for the month of September 2003 were Sharon Detzer, Gary Bidlespacher,, John Myers, Michael Franklin, and John Burnham. Inspections French,Myers, United Church of Genoa, United Church, Raymondo, Eicker, Gans, Kopp, Detzer, Bidlespacher, and Mead. Butch is concerned with a property on Clearview. Wayne Smith will check this out.

Highway Report

September 2003.

Both Mayo and Sharpsteen road have two coats of oil and stone on them. With the help of surrounding towns, we have the fabric and gravel on Indian Field Road South of the Forkes. Borrowed Venice roller for that one. Helped Moravia and Niles on a little surface treatment jobs. Moved cinders away from Walls in Salt Storage and treated the walls with concrete sealer. Dug out some soft spots on Sill road. Re-oiled and chipped them. Have been ditching in some sections.

Assessors Update:

Kaye has suggested an alternative for replacing a computer in the assessor's office. She has purchased a new laptop. She would like us to pay half of the cost, which is $700.00. We will have a written agreement for three years. If a any time she should quit her job the cost will be prorated and she will reimburse us for time left.

OLD BUSINESS:

Letter to Sjana and John Berry has been sent. DEC has not yet approved new section of new Genoa Sand and Gravel bank to be opened.

Registration forms for newly elected official to attend school in Rochester has to be sent by November 2003 with the boards approval.

Scat Van contract was received. We will pay the $500.00 for its use for the year 2004.

NEW BUSINESS:

Veterans Day 11-11-2003. Auburn VFW has invited our town historian, Grayson Mitchell. Grayson feel he would prefer someone else do this. Frank Bell has been asked and will represent us. Thank you Mr. Bell.

There will be a Special Meeting October 22, 2003 at the Town Hall at 7:30pm To review the Preliminary Budget.

David Powers told us at this Board Meeting that he had gone to work at the town for two weeks on 11-08-1968 to fill in 30 some odd years ago and that his two weeks are up December 31, 2003. We will all miss him. He has done a super job for the town.
